I have found that teenagers don’t always recover well from mistakes without caring adults in their lives. It’s too easy for them to dig a hole that is so deep it becomes impossible for them to get out of. Shame replaces restoration, and lies, truth.
This week I was privileged to speak to Leonie, The Cyber Safety Lady about sexting, and some of my thoughts about restorative practises and how we can work with young people.
Bottom line…Championing our kids is all about knowing that their most vulnerable moments offer the greatest lessons. That’s a good starting point. They need us to lean in when they stumble. They need us to walk the journey with them. I hope you enjoy this 20 minute interview.
